The Minneapolis Police Department recorded 815 offenses for the week of February 5-11, 2024, up 3% from the 4-week average of 794 and down 1% from the same week a year earlier (821).

Above their recent range (more than two standard deviations over the prior eight weeks): robbery, 55 against a 4-week average of 29.8.

Saturday had the most offenses (141). The busiest part of the day was morning (6 a.m.-noon) (252).

Theft from motor vehicle, the category that covers car break-ins, was 64 (up 17% from the 4-week average); motor vehicle theft was 114 (down 15%).
