CSV files

FileRows are
crime-monthly.csv Citywide offenses by year, month and offense group. month_complete is false for the month in progress.
crime-by-neighborhood.csv Offenses by calendar year, neighborhood and group, with the 2020 resident count. year_complete is false for the current year.
crime-by-ward.csv The same by ward.
population-2020.csv Residents per neighborhood and ward from the 2020 Census. Method in the methodology page.

In every file is_crime separates offenses from rows that aren't counted as crimes (shots-fired calls, gunshot wound victims, subset rows). Add up only the is_crime = true rows for a total.
