The Minneapolis Police Department recorded 3,911 offenses in June 2025, down 1% from May 2025 (3,959) and down 6% from June 2024 (4,147).

The largest increase from a year earlier was intimidation (222 against 179, up 24%), and the largest decrease was motor vehicle theft (370 against 555, down 33%).

Theft from motor vehicle, the category that covers car break-ins, was 449 (up 2% from a year earlier); motor vehicle theft was 370 (down 33%).

MPD recorded 6 homicide offenses in June 2025, against 5 in June 2024.

By neighborhood, compared with June 2024, offenses were up the most: Loring Park (100 to 178), Lowry Hill East (107 to 131), Howe (38 to 61); down the most: Downtown West (268 to 225), Midtown Phillips (102 to 60), Hawthorne (120 to 84).
