The Minneapolis Police Department recorded 888 offenses for the week of June 15-21, 2026, down 7% from the 4-week average of 955 and down 15% from the same week a year earlier (1,048).

Above their recent range (more than two standard deviations over the prior eight weeks): aggravated assault, 100 against a 4-week average of 60.3.

Saturday had the most offenses (156). The busiest part of the day was afternoon (noon-6 p.m.) (246).

Theft from motor vehicle, the category that covers car break-ins, was 75 (down 23% from the 4-week average); motor vehicle theft was 89 (down 18%).
