The Minneapolis Police Department recorded 1,077 offenses for the week of October 27 to November 2, 2025, up 9% from the 4-week average of 986 and up 10% from the same week a year earlier (978).

Above their recent range (more than two standard deviations over the prior eight weeks): property damage / vandalism, 240 against a 4-week average of 168; intimidation, 80 against a 4-week average of 57.3; other theft, 145 against a 4-week average of 123.5.

Friday had the most offenses (203). The busiest part of the day was afternoon (noon-6 p.m.) (332).

Theft from motor vehicle, the category that covers car break-ins, was 104 (up 11% from the 4-week average); motor vehicle theft was 103 (down 21%).
