The Minneapolis Police Department recorded 1,028 offenses for the week of October 13-19, 2025, up 2% from the 4-week average of 1,004 and up 6% from the same week a year earlier (969).

Above their recent range (more than two standard deviations over the prior eight weeks): property damage / vandalism, 230 against a 4-week average of 166.3; burglary, 77 against a 4-week average of 60; robbery, 31 against a 4-week average of 23.

Thursday had the most offenses (193). The busiest part of the day was afternoon (noon-6 p.m.) (307).

Theft from motor vehicle, the category that covers car break-ins, was 98 (flat from the 4-week average); motor vehicle theft was 125 (up 3%).
