The Minneapolis Police Department recorded 855 offenses for the week of April 25 to May 1, 2022, up 14% from the 4-week average of 747 and up 16% from the same week a year earlier (737).

Sunday had the most offenses (137). The busiest part of the day was afternoon (noon-6 p.m.) (278).
Theft from motor vehicle, the category that covers car break-ins, was 61 (up 31% from the 4-week average); motor vehicle theft was 76 (down 2%).
