Source: this site's import of Minneapolis Police Department open data, counted by report date. The current year runs through the last date MPD's records are mostly complete (the newest 10 days are held back while MPD posts them), and every comparison uses the same calendar window. "Property damage / vandalism" is MPD's own category and isn't vehicle-specific. Counts are raw totals, not adjusted for population. 2019 is the first year of MPD's current records feed, and its early months (January to April) run well below every later year. We can't tell from the data whether that is a real pre-COVID low or the feed ramping up, so read comparisons against 2019 with care. See the map or browse every neighborhood and ward.
